Where can I find Bowenwork
classes?
All current classes are listed on the
Bowenwork
website
Click
Here. Students must start with Module 1 and progress
sequentially through the seven modules. New classes are being added
regularly, so keep checking the website to find a location or time
that works best for you.
What is the tuition?
Each module
costs $350; in addition, a $75 registration fee is assessed at
Module 1 and then due yearly to remain currently registered. Ossie and Elaine’s classes
typically are priced with a higher fee.
Where can I find
professional practitioners ?
To find
accredited practitioners in any of more than 30 countries
Click
Here. Then use the pull-down menu to refine your search by
state or city.
Why do I have to pay an annual
renewal fee?
The $75
registration fee that is first collected at your Module 1 is a
yearly fee that covers the cost of our quarterly journal Bowen
Hands; admittance to the members’ section of the website;
our administrative costs; and, after accreditation, your
website listing and referrals from the administrator. For accredited
practitioners, this yearly fee must be current for enrolling in
continuing education classes.

Will I be reminded my fees are due?
Yes, the Bowenwork Academy USA administrative assistant sends out an email
first and then a letter to remind you that your registration fee is
due.
Your fee is due on the anniversary date of your first
Bowenwork class (i.e. you take Module 1 on February 10, 2006, your fee is due again
on February 10, 2007, 2008, etc.).
How do I
pay my fees?
There are two
ways to pay. You can send a check for $75 made out to
Bowenwork Academy USA to:
Bowenwork Academy

If you would
like to pay by credit card, you may pay online via PayPal. You must
go onto the site first and register yourself. It is free and the
service does not contact you later or sell your name.
To use Paypal:
Go to
www.paypal.com, click on
the Send Money tab and follow the instructions on the page.
Direct your payment to BAUSA@Bowenwork.com.

Why should I become a
professional practitioner?
While there are a number of lay persons, who wish
only to work on friends and family, and who do not go through the entire
Bowenwork program, we encourage all
professionals to complete the program through Module 7.
There are several advantages to being a full professional
Bowenwork
practitioner:
You are eligible to
apply for professional indemnity insurance through organizations such as ABMP.
You are listed on the
Bowtech® &
Bowenwork
websites as a licensed practitioner for referrals.
The Bowenwork Academy USA administrative
assistant
receives hundreds of phone calls asking for referrals. She will refer clients
to you, as well.
The website listing is a rich source of referrals
for a dedicated and growing body of clients and other practitioners
who appreciate the speed and efficacy of Bowenwork. This listing
represents those practitioners who are willing to see the training
to its completion and uphold the standards of the Bowenwork Academy
USA.

Why do I
have to take 32 additional hours of classes after completing Module 7?
We require these continuing
education hours because we have found that it is amazingly easy over
time to migrate off points, lose confidence in performing procedures one
hasn't used routinely, or forget why we do a particular procedure in the
first place. We want to assure your competency not only so we can
promote you on our web site with confidence, but also for your greatest success.

Why do you sometimes use Bowtech as opposed to
Bowenwork when
referring to Tom Bowen's technique?
Both are
registered trademarks of the Bowen Therapy Academy of Australia
and are used interchangeably. We typically use Bowenwork in the
United States; Bowtech is used more in the rest of the world.
Actually Bowenwork is getting to
be used more in the rest of the world, too, in large part
because it is used in the new manuals (and to some extent in
Bowen Hands), where Bowenwork is used to describe the
technique/modality/work itself and Bowtech to refer to the
organization/school/and curriculum.
